ABSTRACT
The study examined the impact of Social Studies Education on youth restiveness in Kaduna State. The study raised three (3) objectives, three (3) research questions and three (3) hypotheses. Descriptive research design of survey type was used in the study. The population of the study total was 25, 307 students spread across 36 public secondary schools in Zaria Educational Zone. Sample size of the study was 381 respondents. The data for the study was collected though self-generated questionnaires of four modified likert scale. Independent sample t-test, mean, percentages and standard deviation were used to analyse the data. The hypotheses were tested at 0.05 level of significance. The findings of the study revealed that Social Studies Education impacted positively on the students regarding to youth restiveness. The study also, found that: there was no significant difference between the mean opinion score of junior secondary school students based on class level; gender; and location regarding the impact of Social Studies Education on youth restiveness. The study recommends that teaching and learning facilities should be adequately provided in schools so as to motivate and encourage teachers. This will enable effective imputation of Social Studies curriculum contents to the students.
