ABSTRACT
Technological advancements have significantly reshaped human resource (HR) practices, offering both transformative opportunities and inherent risks. This study examines the impact of technology on HR functions, focusing on areas such as recruitment, training and development, and performance management. The research highlights how automation, artificial intelligence (AI), and digital platforms enhance efficiency, streamline processes, and improve decision-making. However, these benefits are accompanied by challenges, including data privacy concerns, job displacement due to automation, and ethical issues related to AI-driven decisions. Data for the study were collected through structured questionnaires distributed to HR professionals across various industries. Statistical tools were used to analyze the data, presenting the findings through tables and graphical visualizations. Results indicate that technological tools significantly enhance recruitment efficiency and training effectiveness, while risks like data breaches and cybersecurity threats remain critical concerns. The study concludes that while technological advancements offer substantial benefits, organizations must adopt balanced strategies to mitigate associated risks. Key recommendations include implementing robust data security measures, investing in continuous employee reskilling programs, and promoting ethical AI practices in HR. This research contributes to the growing body of knowledge on the intersection of technology and human resource management, providing actionable insights for HR professionals, business leaders, and policymakers.
