ABSTRACT
The study is an attempt at exploring the use of outdoor spaces to enhance entertainment in entertainment centers. The research is also concerned with the principles of outdoor entertainment design and how they are factored into the architecture that emphasizes relaxation in a more eco-friendly environment that give memorable experiences. The entertainment complex in Jos, Nigeria served as the basic case study in the research , however, a set of methods were applied to arrive at the findings of the study, which included literature review, other case studies (local and foreign), related document analysis, observation, design components of both external and interior and personal interviews with seasoned figures in the profession. The afore-mentioned also served as sources for data presentation and discussion. The outcome of the study revealed that outdoor space can enhance entertainment thus its significance in architectural designs; green areas in the exterior offer vignettes of nature within urban surroundings; and nature gives programmable space, evening space, community plays, holiday events and other group activities and boost leisure all together.
